Sailcloth bags are starting to pop-up in all sorts of places, but none are causing as many waves as the new collection at Bob & Flo that have “no ordinary white canvas bag” appeal. Located on the Côte d’Azur in the south of France, Bob & Flo have created a collection of unique and functional sailcloth bags and accessories inspired by colour, passion for design and zest for life.
Made from durable, highly resistant sailcloth, in vibrant coloured polyester, nylon and laminates, each style has been designed to give an iconic twist that results in a collection of bags and accessories that are inventive and versatile and look as good on the high street as they do on the high seas.
Bold shades of florescent raspberry, turquoise, sky blue, lavender and gold coast orange are just some of the colours that splash over this seasons palette to complete the look for any fashionista’s spring/summer wardrobe.
British designed and made exclusively in France, the company aims to offer select fashion bag styling in limited quantities enabling the range on offer to be constantly updated with the latest up to the minute styling.
“Sailcloth fabrics are truly amazing to work with and very complex. The racing laminates that we use are highly designed and very technical. Many of the fabrics are limited editions and we try to limit fabric combinations too. We took a conscious decision not to follow many of the other sailcloth bag companies already out there. We do not use recycled sails or follow a nautical theme and this was the primary aim at Bob & Flo. Our bags are not just for those who love sailing, but also for those who love colour, fashion and originality” says designer Liz Saunders.
